Is that really you, Nicola? Miss Roberts is unrecognisable in her Eighties-inspired outfit

Fashion always comes full circle and crop tops and blazers and neon colours have been seen on many a celebrity so far this year.

But maybe Nicola Roberts has taken the Eighties-inspired look just a little too far.

So much so that the pop star was almost unrecognisable as she arrived for meetings with her manager yesterday.

Nicola, 26, was snapped arriving at the offices in stone-washed grey leggings, a long vest top and cropped red blazer and lace-up flat shoes.

She teamed the outfit with a small handbag and huge gold earrings, her two tone hair piled up into a bun on her head.

And it was only when she pulled down her Ray Ban style glasses that it became clear it was her because from a distance it was hard to make out that it was the Girls Aloud star.

A few days ago she was seen at Heathrow Airport in London with a huge trolley of luggage as she jetted into the UK from a trip to Dubai.

But it was boyfriend Charlie Fennell who was left pushing the trolley which was laden down with suitcases as they made their way through arrivals.

Nicola has been busy with solo projects after releasing her debut album and make-up range while Girls Aloud have a hiatus from the charts.

But earlier this month, member Nadine Coyle, who is now based in Los Angeles, said the time is right for the girls to unite and told the Sunday Mirror: ‘It’s time to come back. At the end of the year it would have been ten years and it feels like the right time to regroup.’

And Kimberley Walsh also spoke about the band coming back together on the Alan Titmarsh Show at the end of last year.

She said: ‘We are definitely talking about plans for next year because it’s our 10-year anniversary so we don’t know exactly what it’s going to be.’

Miss Walsh is currently starring as Princess Fiona in Shrek: The Musical in London’s West End.

Last night she was snapped leaving the Theatre Royal with a big beaming grin on her face and a very see-through top.

That’s a lot of luggage, Nicola Roberts!

So, Nicola Roberts doesn’t travel light. The Girl Aloud (and MyDaily favourite) was snapped arriving at Heathrow Airport this afternoon with boyfriend Charlie Fennell, and lots and lots of luggage…

The pair have just returned from enjoying a trip to Dubai (where we hope they went for at least a month), with Nicola looking relaxed and happy in neon zig-zag jeans, platform sandals and a comfy jumper – plus sunnies, statement necklace and tiger print Mulberry bag.

Nice jet set style, Nic.

“Touch down. Freckles is back,” she Tweeted from the airport.

While we support a girl’s right to carry as many bags as she so wishes, we can’t help but wonder what on earth she has in there. We don’t own enough clothes to fit in that many suitcases.

Unless of course they were all Charlie’s…

Nadine Coyle Confirms Girls Aloud Reunion For 2013

Girls Aloud’s lead singer Nadine Coyle has lifted the lid on the band’s reunion tour and tells me we can definitely expect a tour at the start of 2013 and there WILL also be new music.
The star confessed all to me at Sir Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Oscar Viewing party in LA and says fans will not have long to wait before things start getting going. Nadine revealed: “It’s time to come back. At the end of the year it would have been ten years and it feels like the right time to regroup.
“I know everyone’s been speculating about what we will do. It will be arena dates at the start of next year and we will have new music to go with it.
“One or two singles I would think. It depends on how well it goes with the tour announcement. If things work well, there’s enough demand and we’re all in the same head space as a band then who knows what could happen.
“I’m definitely looking forward to seeing the girls. It’s been a long time since we’ve all been in the same room together.”
Despite the other ladies – Cheryl Cole, Sarah Harding, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts – being in constant touch it still seems there’s very little communication between Nadine and the girls. But she was quick to reveal there’s no bad blood between them.
“I’ve been really worried about Sarah and I’m glad to see she’s getting better,” Nadine added. “But the truth is there’s no big problem with me and the girls. I’ve been living here and not been home much and I have a life here now.
“I’m thrilled Kimberley’s doing well on the West End and Cheryl and Nicola are working hard on their music.
“Everyone was so keen to put Cheryl and me against each other – but we just weren’t enemies. We are very different people musically, that’s all.”
Nadine also went on to add she wasn’t worried about her Tesco deal and debut solo album which subsequently flopped in the charts. “Releasing my music was never about chart positions,” she added. “I went with Tesco because I wanted to be in control and I’m proud of what I achieved. Cheryl was always going to do far better chart wise – she was on X Factor to begin with. I’ve spent six years in LA now – maybe I needed to be in the UK more.”
The star still sounds like she’s having trouble letting go of her ex-fiance, American football star Jason Bell. She told me: “Jason is still a part of my life and it has been a tricky one to let go of. We speak all the time and ultimately I guess it’s just complicated with us.”
It’s good to see Nadine so well, positive and full of life. Now, hurry up and get in the same room as these girls and let the celebrations begin!

Give Up Clothes For Good Campaign

Nicola Roberts filmed this exclusive shoot for the Give Up Clothes For Good campaign, which asks stars to donate their normal lifestyles to help raise awareness of the work that Cancer Research UK does. Nicola donated her glamorous lifestyle to be shot in a working men’s pub for this shoot.

The campaign, shot by top portrait photographer Jason Bell, runs from 1st-30th April 2012 with special donation bags available free in all TK Maxx stores from late March.
