NICOLA ROBERTS’ favourite time with her glamorous GIRLS ALOUD bandmates is when they all relax at home with “rubbish hair and no make-up”.
The group, which is currently on hiatus, is the biggest girlband in the U.K. and the singers are renowned for their coiffured locks and stylish fashion sense.
But Roberts admits that when they get together at each other’s homes the beauties prefer nothing more than to pig out on junk food in their most casual attire.
She tells Britain’s Company magazine, “Cheryl (Cole) and Kimberley (Walsh) are like my sisters. But we don’t get to see Sarah (Harding) as much as we’d like because she lives in Buckinghamshire.
“As soon as we’re together, it’s like we’ve never been apart. We’ll have a night in dressed in trackies (sportswear) or PJs (pyjamas), with rubbish hair and no make-up. We stock up on oven chips, chicken nuggets, olives and sweets, and put on (British soap) EastEnders, which we then just talk over all night!”
Looks like Nicola Roberts might be adding DJ to her CV after we spotted her manning the decks at London’s Dalston Superstore club this weekend. Looking gorgeous as ever – we can only see the top of her frock and we love it – with those red locks sporting extra oomph, we wonder if the rest of Girls Aloud were getting down to her mix on the dance floor? GG

Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh went to Number 11 Downing Street on 13th December to a Christmas Party the Chancellor George Osborne was hosting for sick and terminally ill children, organised by the Starlight Childrens Foundation.

Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts discovered Wokingham has talent when she judged a town school’s variety show.
Nicola’s visit to Barnardo’s High Close School in Wiltshire Road on Monday sent waves of excitement through the school, which was holding its annual ‘High Close has got talent’ contest.
The pop star was treated to an impressive display of performances from pupils, including singing, dancing, a dramatic performance based on Phantom of the Opera and a set from the school band.
Nicola said: “I really enjoyed the talent show and the children put on some amazing performances, revealing lots of talent!
“It was great to visit High Close and meet the children and hear about their time spent at the school.”
The winner was Lee Stacey followed by Amy El-Keria and ACHC Band, which included members Ty Dicker, Elliot Brookes, Sammi Morris and Lee Stacey, in joint second place.
