Style Icon Of The Week: Nicola Roberts 29 May 2009

This week our style award goes to Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts!

Nicola Roberts is fast becoming one of our favourite celebrity style icons. Over the past few years the Girls Aloud superstar has overcome press criticism after having had her appearance constantly compared unfavourably against her Girls Aloud bandmates.
These days however she is even giving Cheryl Cole a run for her money in the style stakes and has even won our Style Icon of the week award twice!

This week she has left the other girls in her shadow with her stylish ensembles.
Her first fabulous outfit was when she was pictured leaving the Mayfair hotel in a high waisted Chloe skirt, teamed with a pretty sheer blouse, Miu Miu shades, Chanel shoes and two designer bags.

Next up was yet another super frock. This time she impressed us with a sophisticated floral number that looked fantastic against her alabaster skin and flame red hair.

To celebrate the end of her fashion marathon, the tiny singer hit the streets of London for some retail therapy in a cute embellished cardi from Milly. Nicola teamed her stunning piece of knitwear with skinny black jeans and yet another one of her Chanel bags. Oh, what we would give, just to own one!

Girls Aloud are biggest reality TV earners

Pop group Girls Aloud have been named the highest earners in a survey of reality TV stars.

The band, put together on Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, topped the list of celebrities who have landed careers in the entertainment industry after featuring in a reality series.

The Love Machine hitmakers have earned £25 million since they shot to fame.

Pop Idol winner Will Young came in second in the Reality TV Rich List, with £12 million since he triumphed in Simon Cowell’s talent contest in 2002, while The X Factor star Leona Lewis was third, taking £6.7 million since her 2006 victory.

Fourth place was handed to late Big Brother contestant Jade Goody, who earned £8 million before she died of cancer in March, and former Popstars winner-turned-TV presenter Myleene Klass was fifth with £7.5 million.

Hello!

nicolaroberts.org is back with another competition! This time we’re giving away 2 professionally printed mouse mats. I’ve design it using my own picture so there’s only 2 of a kind like this in the world!

(Looks amazing in real life, however my camera seemed to find it hard to photograph nicely!)

All you need to do to win one of these mouse mats, is to answer a simple question.

Nicola Robert’s boyfriend’s neon teeth

Keeping on the subject of teeth and oral hygiene, what the hell has happened to Nicola Robert’s boyfriend’s canines? It looks as though he’s opted for the ‘do-not-look-directly-at’ Jodie Marsh teeth whitening effect…

Nicola and her new boyfriend, Charlie Fennell, (who has been compared to boxer Ricky Hatton – though we’re not sure if that’s a compliment) were returning back to their Mayfair Hotel in the early hours after another Girls Aloud performance at the O2.

And even Charlie, who sells boats in Dubai, look startled by his dazzling grimace. Are they an improvement from Noel Fielding’s? Or is it a gum shield? And if it is, why is he wearing one?
